Voxpilot Releases Open Media Platform Version 2.1

CHATILLON, France and DUBLIN, Ireland - Voxpilot launched Open Media Platform (OMP) version 2.1, which includes new support for multimedia and video interactive services.

The availability of new media features, driven by improved terminal and network capabilities, is enabling the delivery of new video applications and multimedia services.  New services include weather reports, traffic information, location based services, videoconferencing, movie trailers, and music video clips.

The Voxpilot OMP, in addition to supporting audio processing capabilities such as speech synthesis and speech recognition, is engineered to support video applications and multimedia services in currently deployed 3G networks (3G-324M). The OMP architecture combines telephony features with Internet capabilities, such as SIP, and Web technologies, such as VoiceXML.

In February 2005, a Monaco Telecom mobile operator, MonaCell, deployed Voxpilot's VideoMail solution based on OMP as its first video messaging service on its 3G network. AlloCiné, a French movie ticketing and information service, has launched a video-enabled service, which allows their customers to browse video trailers and choose their cinema tickets.
