Cindy Tiritilli Appointed as VoiceXML Forum's Program Manager

The VoiceXML Forum Board has been working with the management of the IEEE-ISTO to recast ISTO's support to best meet the Forum's needs. While unfortunately the new ISTO team does not include Brett McDowell, who proved to be a keen resource for the Forum in 2002, the Board feels that the ISTO is nevertheless in good position to help us drive to completion our many initiatives in 2003. Cindy Tiritilli is now the Forum's dedicated (full time) program manager. Cindy's role is to float among all committees and the Board to support those groups and to coordinate and project manage their activities. Cindy will also make sure the Forum's administrative needs are met, and will be in charge of managing all of the Forum's special events. Prior to engaging in VoiceXML activities, Cindy program managed the Wireless Village and SyncML industry groups. Greg Kohn, who served as program manager for the Forum in years past, has taken on a new role in the Forum. He will act as a liason between the Forum's BoD and ISTO management so as to ensure that the Forum is adequately resourced and that all deliverables are met. As Greg has served in this capacity for several other ISTO programs, the BoD will use him as a resource for strategy setting and other special projects. Greg will also serve as a backup to Cindy. Joni Brennan and Ami Patel, both of whom supported the Forum in 2002, will continue doing so in 2003. Joni will work directly with the working committees to provide and manage necessary technical resources and support. Ami's role is to track the Forum's membership and financials, and to field all public and member inquiries.
