Lambert Smith Hampton Deploys Digital Dictation from BigHand

U.K. property consultancy Lambert Smith Hampton completed the roll out of digital dictation software from BigHand to drive efficiency and enable work-sharing between secretaries across five office locations.

Following the initial success of this initial deployment, he company plans to expand its use of BigHand3 to all 30 of its offices.

"We find that the system massively increases work-sharingbetween secretaries, resulting in faster document turnaround," said Ben Hunter, associate director at Lambert Smith Hampton. "In thepast, we have had to hire temporary staff to help with workloads whensecretaries have been off. We have not had the need to employ tempssince the introduction of BigHand3, which will save us a considerablesum. I am certain that these savings, along with other costeliminations, will be substantial at the end of this financial year andrepresent a visible return on our investment in BigHand3."

He says Lambert Smith Hampton has also benefited from delivering better client service through faster document production. BigHand3 also enables surveyors to work remotely, dictating while on location, and sending the voice files with allocated priority directly to the chosen secretary or group for transcription.
