Voiceserve Acquires VoipSwitch

Voiceserve, a London-based provider of low-cost pay-as-you-go and pre-paid cell phone service via the Internet, this week completed the acquisition of VoipSwitch, a Polish provider of Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) software.

The acquisition is valued at $3 million, divided between cash and stocks, and will provide Voiceserve a range of telecom features that enable registered users to access and control their VoIP services globally.

Voiceserve, which serves customers in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, already offers VoIP airtime minutes bundled with optional features like virtual numbers, direct dialing, Web callback, and call forwarding. VoipSwitch's most significant addition is an embedded billing system that scales for growth.
