Speech Processing Solutions Releases Philips Dictation Recorder for Android

Speech Processing Solutions has has released Philips Dictation Recorder for Android, a mobile app that fully integrates with Philips SpeechExec professional dictation workflow software.

Through the new app voice recordings can be securely sent via e-mail or FTP to a central server where others can access and finalize the document. After recordings are transcribed, the document can be automatically sent back to the Android for review. In addition to more efficient workflow, the Philips Dictation Recorder for Android app includes audio file filtering and the ability to attach photos to voice recording. Users can also encrypt and store voice files directly in the application for later editing or transcription.

The Philips has also launched SpeechExec Dictation Hub, a Web-based service that enables users to send dictation files from mobile phones to central locations. Users can also edit and transfer files into their SpeechExec dictation workflow system. This new Hub is accessible to all users but was created for small to medium sized businesses to provide them with the features of professional workflow services without the on-site hosting requirements available for larger firms. The Hub will integrate with all of Philips' smartphone apps to further streamline the transcription process.

"Leveraging voice technology is becoming a more common way to conduct business as it is more efficient for busy professionals," said Thomas Brauner, president and CEO, Speech Processing Solutions, in a statement. "With the release of the Philips Dictation Recorder for Android and the updates to SpeechExec Dictation Hub, employees of any business are now afforded the flexibility and ease of using their voice. The additional updates to the Dictation Hub also make it even easier for professionals to record, edit and send files in a secure environment without interruptions to their busy schedules."

The Philips Dictation Recorder for Android app is available for download in the Google Playstore. Blackberry and iPhone users can download the app from their app stores. All of Philips' apps are available in several languages, including English, German, Dutch, French and Spanish.
