Porting from Dialogic Hardware to PIKA Hardware Made Easier

OTTAWA, CANADA - PIKA Technologies Inc., a manufacturer of hardware and software subsystems for telephony developers, announces availability of its Dialogic Porting JumpStart Kit. This kit allows developers to shortcut the port of their applications from Dialogic hardware to PIKA hardware. The JumpStart Kit includes lib files that translate the Dialogic R4 API calls and variables to PIKA application programming interface (API) calls and variables. The low-level PIKA API is standard across all PIKA hardware. The kit also includes source code and detailed documentation. The technical support, delivered at no additional cost, helps telephony developers shortcut their porting time. "Application developers often shop around to see what other voice cards are available in the market. They look for more affordable hardware, more responsive support, and a company that will sell voice cards directly to them," explains Terry Atwood, Vice President, Sales, Marketing and Customer Care, PIKA Technologies. "With our Dialogic porting tool, we're now able to jump the porting time barrier more often. The extent of the functionality we offer in the kit will continue to grow, making it easier and easier for telephony developers to port to PIKA hardware."
