Assurland Chooses Voxpilot for Telephone-based Insurance Service

PARIS, FRANCE and DUBLIN, IRELAND - The French insurance marketplace Assurland has launched a new, telephone-based service together with Voxpilot, the pan-European VoiceXML Gateway company, to allow its clients to get home insurance quotes over the phone. Callers who dial the number +33 8 92 230 260 and submit their details by using their voice or touch-tone, are able to listen to different offers, receive a quote in the post or speak to an agent. This telephone-based service, deployed on Voxpilot's pan-European VoiceXML Gateway, combines innovative technology with a user-friendly interface, thus complementing Assurland's Web offering. Voxpilot's voxBuilder Online Development Environment allowed Assurland to create and test their new telephone-based service while leveraging their existing Internet infrastructure and integrating with their Web-based offering. VoiceXML is an open standard, which enables any company to build portable, re-usable, high-performance voice applications. Voxpilot's outsourced VoiceXML Gateway lets Assurland deploy their application in France with the ability to roll it out to any other European market in the appropriate languages. "For Assurland, offering a telephony service to its customers is an important step in the right direction. Assurland is now able to reach customers who do not have access to the Internet, and deliver them a reliable, 24x7 service. Anyone in France can now get an insurance quote by picking up their telephone and by using nothing more than their own voice."
