Fonix Speech Solutions to Be Combined with ThinkEngine Networks' Voice Services Platform

MARLBOROUGH, MA - ThinkEngine Networks, a company in the telecommunications industry offering a multi-network capable Voice Services Platform, announced its partnership with Fonix Corporation (OTC BB:FONX), a provider of natural-user interface technology solutions for wireless and mobile devices, Internet and telephony systems, and vehicle telematics. Fonix Corporation Selects Digital River to Provide E-Commerce Operations for Distribution of Consumer Applications
SALT LAKE CITY, UT - Fonix Corporation (OTC BB: FONX), a provider of natural-user interface technology solutions for wireless and mobile devices, Internet and telephony systems, and vehicle telematics, announced that it has signed an e-commerce agreement with Digital River Inc. (NASDAQ: DRIV). As part of the agreement, Digital River, an e-commerce outsource provider, will manage and host the consumer e-commerce site located at www.fonix.com. The collaboration is expected to help Fonix reach a larger consumer market and generate greater awareness of its catalog of innovative products. The Fonix e-commerce site offers consumers Fonix speech recognition and text-to-speech products, including: iSpeak, a personal text reader that converts text to speech and reads it in a natural, human-sounding voice; TimeTalk Alert, the scheduling assistant that organizes and reads appointments and tasks from a Pocket PC; TimeTalk, a product for Pocket PCs that announces the current time at regular intervals or with a tap of a stylus; and Commander, the speech recognition application that allows users of handheld devices to launch applications or tasks using voice commands.
