Datria Releases Datria Ticket Management 2.0 Broadband Edition

Datria, a developer of field service applications, announced the availability of a packaged, voice-enabled field workforce application specifically tailored for broadband companies. Datria Ticket Management 2.0 Broadband Edition is designed to improve the productivity of cable, satellite and telecommunications field personnel. The new release adds broadband-specific functions to Datria Ticket Management 2.0. New functions include service activation, which streamlines the process of activating a newly-installed modem or set-top device, enhanced job search functions, which allow field technicians to request new work orders based on parameters such as area code, zip code, and type of installation, and a customer acceptance function, in which the Datria application asks the customer questions about their service experience. Ticket Management 2.0 Broadband Edition allows broadband field service technicians to manage their work and communicate with their home base using only their voice and a phone. Field representatives can call from any location using any phone and speak directly to their enterprise applications to report or receive job information. Ticket Management 2.0 converts their voice to data and updates the enterprise system. The application then "reads" the data in the enterprise system and speaks it to the field technician. "Datria Ticket Management 2.0 can be a breakthrough for independent cable operators," said Matthew Polka, president of the American Cable Association. "Ticket Management 2.0 significantly reduces truck-roll costs, eliminates administrative steps and vastly improves the revenue bottom line, simply by using the telephone in their technical operations." "This model is a perfect fit for the cable and satellite industries," said James Greenwell, chairman and CEO of Datria. "With the expense and challenge of managing truck rolls, installing and maintaining new technologies and coordinating a large, dynamic field workforce, operators need to exchange accurate, real-time information with the field at low cost. That's exactly what the Broadband Edition of Ticket Management 2.0 does."
