Fluency Voice Technology Appoints New CEO

LONDON - Fluency Voice Technology has appointed Philip Padfield as chief executive officer.

Padfield joins Fluency from Liquent, a Thomson Company, where he was chief executive officer, responsible for global operations, sales, product marketing and strategy.  He joined Liquent on its acquisition of CDC Solutions where he directed strategy.

He has held a number of senior management positions in other software and hardware companies including: Informix Corporation; Stratus Computer; Pyramid Technologies; and Ironside Technologies.

At Ironside Technologies, he was responsible for establishing operations outside of the Americas domestic market growing sales from zero to over 60 percent of the worldwide revenues in under two years.
