Verbble Taps Nuance for Speech Entry to Workflow Apps

Verdatum, a provider of voice productivity and workflow solutions, is now leveraging Nuance's Dragon NaturallySpeaking speech recognition server edition in its new Verbble solution to voice-enable business forms for enhanced enterprise and sales force automation.

Whether on the desktop or BlackBerry, iOS, or Android mobile devices, today's field force professionals can use Verbble to speak to fill out forms in Microsoft Word, PDF, or Web-based systems like Salesforce.com. The Dragon speech recognition technology behind the Verbble solution makes it three to five times faster to fill out enterprise forms from anywhere.

"Dragon NaturallySpeaking is the world's best known speech recognition technology," said John Methfessel, president and CEO of Verdatum. "The technology is proven and highly accurate, and we are extremely proud to work with Nuance to deliver this innovative voice productivity solution to the market, particularly in the mobile space. Using Verbble, businesses can increase productivity dramatically.

"Nuance has been the leader in rapidly advancing speech recognition technology, and combining it with Verbble to extend its use to the forms that the enterprise uses every day is the natural next step for voice technology," he continued.

"Verbble's integration of Dragon is a great example of how speech recognition can truly transform mobile and field force productivity in the enterprise," said Peter Mahoney, senior vice president and general manager of the Dragon product line at Nuance. "As today's workforce becomes more distributed, and with mobile devices front and center in an enterprise workflow, organizations need to provide new ways to empower their employees. The Dragon NaturallySpeaking Server product makes it easy for partners to add speech to custom integrations with enterprise applications, such as Salesforce.com, to give organizations the edge they need for their mobile workforce."

Verbble recently announced its integration with Salesforce.com, bringing speech recognition to Salesforce.com forms and applications, both mobile and on the desktop.

Supported voice recognition languages include U.S., U.K., Australian, and Indian-accented English, European and Latin American Spanish, German, French, Italian, and Dutch.
